The annual competition of MC’s will take place for 7th year. It is a totally unique event that will definitely catch the attention of the media and will guarantee positive exposure. Every year in April young aspiring MC’s from all over Latvia will gather at one special event, to find out who has the best rhymes, most recognizable stage presence, unmistakably distinctive style and the skills to come out on top under pressure, on stage in front of a full house audience.

With stronger competitors and better lyrical content, the audience for such an unique event has also grown over the years . The crowd will be a part of history in the making – the Hip Hop Festival brings unknown artists into the spotlight every year. There are numerous examples of Latvian emcees making their name at the Hip Hop Fest – current Latvian hip-hop artists Gacho, Neplagiat, Mistake, etc. As guest artists there have been many DJs, breakdancers, beatboxers and MCs from Lihuenia, Estonia, Norway, UK, Finland, USA, etc.

The event attracts creative youth, people who are interested in music, hip hop culture, rapping and deejaying.

The concept is to bring together both latvian and russian hip hip culture people. The main thing is an MC contest which will be judged by Latvian hip hop leaders: Gustavo, Ozols, R-Viss, Neplagiat, etc. Also audience can judge in freestyle competitions and DJ showcases!

To participate in contest young artists will send their applications. Main prizes are free studio time and a chance to release a song in Latvian most popular hip hop hits collection “PROMO”.
